About Dr. Cross

I first moved to Tucson in 1969.  I graduated from Amphitheater High School before attending Northern Arizona University.  My wife, Kim, and I raised our three children in Tucson.  Kim is an LPN working in the Tucson area.  We are the proud parents of two sons, who are with a local law enforcement agency, as well as one daughter, who is serving our country in the U.S. Army.  I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1994, and have been practicing in Tucson since 1995.

I use the Palmer method of adjusting, and am also one of a limited of chiropractors trained in the Atlas Orthogonal technique (and the only one in the Tucson area).  I first saw Atlas Orthogonal used on my wife while I was attending chiropractic school.  She was suffering with daily migraines, as well as high blood pressure.  This was while on medications to stop the symptoms.  After getting adjusted with the "A.O." method, she was able to stop the medications and now rarely gets migraines.  Atlas Orthogonal is very beneficial for patients with upper neck complaints who have not had success with other chiropractic methods.  It has also been beneficial to patients with headaches, and has been featured on the NBC show "The Doctors", as well as on "The Montel Williams Show".    I  have been featured on two local television stations health beat segments, as well as in the The Arizona Daily Star newspaper.

I also use functional medicine to treat patients with chronic conditions.  These include, but are not limited to, fibromyalgia, migraines, dizziness, peripheral neuropathy, spinal stenosis, and others.   For more information on these treatments, please see the "diagnostic testing and treatment page".

I  have also received the Advanced Certification of Competency in Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego.  I believe that all injuries suffered in auto collisions must be addressed with a multi-faceted approach.  This includes chiropractic care, first and foremost, along with massage therapy for the soft tissue injury, as well as referrals to other professionals as needed.
